July 19th - August 2nd, 2008: Medical Mission Trip - Ghana, Africa

Dawn Neal will be serving with a medical team through the Ankaase Methodist Faith Healing Hospital in Ghana, Africa. The team will be going out and doing Mobil Medical Clinics in the region. Dawn and the team will be trying to achieve the following objectives:

• Provide vital medical care through nutrition education to children and mothers.
• Provide nutrition assessments to women and children through collaboration with physicians.
• Provide nutrition education on how to consume adequate protein from local Ghanaian food.
• Purchase and distribute essential life-saving vitamins and teach the importance of daily intake.
• Purchase and distribute mosquito nets to villagers, in an effort to improve protection against malaria.
