PROSKUNEO
Live Loud For Truth and Lead Others To It!

Where did Jesus spend His time?

Jesus spent most of His time with the people, not with the Pharisees. He was in the streets, not in the synagogues. Instead of demanding that the lost come to the place where religion was peddled, Jesus went to the streets and found them. He found things in common with them and He loved them. Jesus was willing to take risks and to reach out to the people that others avoided.

Do you want to be like Jesus? Are you tired of being religious? Do you want to be the hands and feet of God here on earth? If you said yes to these questions, we have a place for you.

Welcome to PROSKUNEO.

Can you imagine what would happen if a group of people with eternal passion and energy started asking the question: "Can I be like Jesus?"

What if they were actually willing to wade out into their community and beyond? What if they started reaching out; knowing that Jesus would guide them the whole way? You would have something awesome on your hands. This is PROSKUNEO.

We want to steward our human, spiritual, technical, and financial resources into measurable goals. By working towards these goals, we hope to become more like Jesus through caring about the things that He cares about: PEOPLE.

What does PROSKUNEO mean?

The origin of the word "PROSKUNEO" is Greek and it is pronounced - (pros-koo-neh'-o). This word is used in the New Testament of the Bible over 60 times. In the King James Version of the Bible it translates into the word - worship and in the New American Standard version it translates into the word worship, as well as the words or phrases: to bow down, bow down before, bowing down, and bowing before.

Many people believe that worship is what we do at the church on Sunday morning and/or at other times during the week. Some say it is singing religious songs. The truth is worship - "PROSKUNEO", is not something we are supposed to do for only an hour or two a week. PROSKUNEO - worship is a lifestyle.

Right now you may be saying, "What are you talking about, it's a lifestyle?" You see, God wants our whole life to be a form of worship, not just a now and then occurrence. PROSKUNEO is just like a diamond. It has many facets, sides and angles. Going to church is just a facet of PROSKUNEO. True worship can include: prayer, reading and studying the Bible alone and with others, fellowship with other believers, using your God-given gifts and talents to help others, singing, tithes and offerings, giving someone an encouraging word, telling someone about Jesus Christ, teaching, living by and living out God's commands, loving others, etc... These are just a few pieces of the puzzle called worship.

The goal of PROSKUNEO is this:

We are here to help people find the pieces of the puzzle called worship and then we want to help them put it all together within their lives. This day and age, most people are tired of hearing about religion, church and God. They want to see it lived out before them. We want to equip people to be the hands and feet of God in a real way so others can see God through their lives. Worship as a lifestyle is what PROSKUNEO is all about. Check out the pages to the left to find out how everyone here at PROSKUNEO wants to help put all the pieces together and assist people in being all that they can be for God.
